Founding-sponsor prices for the first advertisers. They go up as the audience grows, and yours stays as agreed for the run you book.

  • A card in the ASCII library, among the pictures, marked “Sponsored”
  • Three sponsor places on the library page, one after every 8 pictures; the places are shuffled on every visit, so each sponsor gets the same share
  • Opens your product in a new tab; your picture, title, one line and a button of your choice
  • A report of your card’s views and clicks when your run ends

What your card looks like

  1. PictureJPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 1.5 MB. A wide picture (about 1200 × 630) fits best.
  2. TitleUp to 70 characters.
  3. DescriptionUp to 160 characters; two lines show on the card.
  4. Button and linkButton text up to 24 characters, for example “Learn more”. The link opens your product in a new tab.
  5. “Sponsored” labelAdded by us, on the picture, so visitors can tell it is an ad.

Where will my ad appear?

As a card in the ASCII library page, among the pictures and videos, after every 8 pictures (three sponsor places in all). It always carries a “Sponsored” label. It is not shown while a visitor is filtering the library by a look.

How soon will it go live?

Once we have agreed on the run and the card (picture, title, one line, button text and link), it is usually live within a day.

Can I see how it performed?

Yes. We count how many times your card was on screen and how many times it was clicked, and send you the numbers when your run ends. We do not collect anything about who saw or clicked it, and we do not count visitors whose browser says “Do Not Track”.

What can I advertise?

Tools, products and services for designers, developers and makers. We read every card before it goes live and turn down anything misleading, adult, or unrelated to the people who use this site.

Are clicks or sales guaranteed?

No. We can promise your card is shown and counted honestly, and that the numbers on this page are our real ones. What visitors do after that depends on your product.
